Zafferano di Sardegna PDO

Product Typical Italian whose diversification and name are protected against imitation and plagiarism.

The Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) Saffron of Sardinia is reserved for saffron dried in stigmas or threads coming from Crocus sativus L. crops that meet the conditions and requirements established in the Production Regulations.

The Zafferano di Sardegna, iridácea geophyte, perennial, herbaceous plant, about 15 cm high, formed by a subterranean apparatus (bulb-tuber), from leaves and flowers with the following characteristics:
