Cattolica (Riviera Romagnola) is a coastal municipality of 17.228 inhabitants, located at 12 meters above sea level Province of Rimini, Its territory covers an area of 6,00 sq. km.
the Queen of the Adriatic is defined. This is the calling card of Cattolica city capable of offering guests tranquility, landscape and environmental beauties on the extreme edge of Romagna that meets the Marche hills. Known since 1700, the arrival of the first century bathers, Cattolica has undergone redevelopment projects that have innovated and redesigned the public space. Beach, pedestrian areas, theater, outdoor arena, musical entertainment, fountains and lights brighten the holiday.
The traces of ancient seafaring tradition and the origins of the city are preserved in the Museum of the Queen.
The beach is wide, fine sand, the bottom slightly sloping towards the open sea, protected by breakwaters. These elements of the Catholic ideal place for family holidays with children.
The beach has been designed to allow the sea front promenade next to the sea, thanks to the wooden walkways well lit in the evenings for guests' relaxation. The bathing establishments offering space for games, sports activities as well as relaxation. There is also space for lovers of water sports.
The Yacht Club organizes sailing and windsurfing.
Among the attractions is the Aquarium of Cattolica to the "Parco Le Navi" which is situated on the former holiday camp opened in '34, formed by the futuristic architecture similar to ships. Inside the building is the large aquarium with fish and sharks from all over the world. Many surprises with shows to special stage effects.
