Former Church of San Dionigi / Auditorium of the Foundation of Piacenza and Vigevano
»Piazza Martiri della Liberazione
The first document in which there are references to Church of San Dionigi dates back to 1323: originally located near the Male of the Castle, was designed as a public oratory for use by the Brotherhood of Mercy.
Inside the church you can admire two valuable works: a polychrome wooden group consisting of eight statues depicting "the deposition in the sepulcher" - the work of Lombard or Piedmontese workshop of the fifteenth century - and a canvas of Cerano depicting "the Martyrdom of San Dionigi ".
From the 2011 church of San Dionigi became Auditorium of the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation.
